Service Raleigh

The brothers of Lambda Omicron will be volunteering again at the annual Service Raleigh event! Service Raleigh is an annual citywide day of service started in 1998 by NC State’s Student Government and Park Scholars. Each year, volunteers from the university and surrounding community unite to undertake a variety of projects, each of which provides much needed assistance to local organizations. Service Raleigh is funded by the Park Foundation, NCSU Student Government, and local donors.

Wells Fargo Executive Lecture Series

The NC State Poole College of Management will be hosting their 2nd Wells Fargo Lecture Series for the Spring semester featuring Steve Angel.

Steve Angel joined Praxair, Inc, in 2011 as executive vice president, responsible for its businesses in North America, Europe and Asia, and healthcare. He also is a director on the boards of PPG Industries and the U.S.-China Business Council, and a member of the Business Roundtable, The Business Council and the U.S.-Brazil CEO Forum. Praxair is the largest industrial gases company in North and South America, and one of the largest worldwide.

Wells Fargo Executive Lecture Series

The NC State Poole College of Management will be hosting their 3rd Wells Fargo Lecture Series for the Spring semester featuring James Carlson.

James Carlson’s career in health insurance spans more than 30 years. He became Amerigroup’s second CEO in September 2007, after serving as its president and COO. Under his leadership, Amerigroup more than doubled the number of state Medicaid programs it serves, and revenues grew to $5.8 billion. He is the founder of HealthSpring and serves on the National Kidney Foundation and Virginia Gov. McDonnell’s Health Reform Initiative Advisory Council, among other boards.

We do this event in order to foster alumni and faculty relations, build a stronger sense of fraternal bonds, and it allows time for current brothers to learn about the real life working world after graduating.
